Ingredients

  • 1 can (15oz) chickpeas, drained. Save liquid.
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon, about 2 tbsp
  • 1 tsp green goddess seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup fresh herbs, parsley, basil, chives, tarragon, roughly chopped
  • water or aquafaba (chickpea liquid), as needed

Instructions

  • In a food processor or blender, add chickpeas, tahini, garlic, tarragon, basil, parsley, chives, salt, pepper, green goddess seasoning and lemon juice.
  • Process the mixture until it starts to break down, scraping down the sides of the processor or blender as needed.
  • With the motor running, slowly drizzle in the olive oil and blend until the hummus becomes smooth and creamy.
  • If it’s too thick, gradually add water (or chickpea liquid), a tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired consistency.
  • Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed. Transfer hummus to a serving dish.
  • Sprinkle the pine nuts over the hummus along with a drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of Green Goddess seasoning.
  • Serve with crusty bread, pita chips, fresh veggies or your preferred dippers.
